Snow and Flannel
Christmas Cards in the Northwest really aren't complete without some snow. In the spirit of the season, I took the lovely Heather, Scott, and tiny Abby up to Mount Hood in Oregon in search of some snow for their Christmas card shoot. And boy, did we find snow!
Fresh, fluffy, bright white snow! And gorgeous flocked fir trees. Wow, what a winter wonderland! Finding the ideal location in a snowy expanse like Mount Hood is a little tricky. Sure, you can have snow in the shot, but it's not particularly flattering when your backdrop is pure white snow. So, we trudged around the lodge, looking for a balanced mix of snow, tree, and sky. The most fruitful location ended up being right at the top of the ski slope! So we had a fleeting audience of skiers.
The sunset was mild, but the clouds created another whole layer of amazing to the shoot. We had flannel, snow, mountains, flocked trees, and love! What more could you ask for in a Christmas Card shoot?!
Well, we got a group shot as well. Flannel all around!
Happy Holidays to all! May your snowy dreams come true :)
